I wish I could find it, but this picture is taken from the same spot and of the same subject matter as a photograph from the local newspaper of what has been dubbed the 'Secret Spring.' I took the picture not only because this spring is possibly the greatest place I've seen in Florida for a relaxing vacation, but also in order to compare what the spring looks like unoccupied compared to when my family has been staying there for a week. We added the kayaks, rope swing, and misc. flotation devices. Wonderful place to go for vacation.

The clarity of the water is remarkable, lends a peaceful feel along with the slightly muted color tones in the plants. I love your emphasis on blue in this shot. It's very curious for this sort of a shot, but the objects and color give things a..mirthful feeling?

Good work :) (Smile)

Looks like a great place to vacation, but let me ask you this - was it buggy?
Great shot. :) (Smile)

wow! This place looks so cool! What part of Florida is this in? At first I thought this was somewhere like New Zealand, great capture

It's a small spring in the Ocala National Forest that feeds into Juniper Creek called Sweetwater Springs. The forest service owns the springs, a small log cabin near it, and a few acres around it and they have a lottery-type drawing every year to give people chances to spend a week-long vacation at the springs. My family has won a week two or three times in the last few years and we can't get enough of the place. If it's a convenience at all for you and your family, I'd suggest it.
